never understand why...But now i know, Sarah's mom was supposed to wear it for this day.
Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen? I cannot express the joy of seeing her in this dress. its perfect on her! i don't get to see my clothes in action in person very often, its such and honor!
This is what i wore, a dress from thirteeneightyfive i know its 1930's and not 1920's but i didn't end up finding a 20's one in time.
My handsome hobo with a twist of lumberjack :)
i love the look between sarah and her mum.
Sarah's Cute family.
The sweetest maid of honor toast.

ReplyDeleteHey all! Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm so happy to know you all love the pics! The whole family really put our hearts, heads and hands together to make it happen! Hooray for love!
ReplyDeletePS to Maria: it really was a 30s theme, so your dress was spot on! :)
PS to the gal who asked about the dress: I bought it on Etsy from My Favorite Vintage.
Oh, I just love your dress!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wedding, beautiful photos--beautiful everything! Sarah, I loved your dress, the flowers in your hair--and the SHOES. (I don't know what it is with me and wedding shoes lately....) It looks like the most fun wedding ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for sharing your photos, Maria!
Dear Maria...Thank you for your beautiful blog about Sarah and Brian's wedding. Your pictures are some of the best I've seen. I love your shots of the decorated tent, and I will forever treasure the photos you took of me and my beautiful children. And thank you especially for my perfectly sweet hobo dress. I got so many compliments and spent the day completely comfortable and happy. I'm so glad it was waiting for me to find it. Much love and happiness and success...Cindy
ReplyDeletesuper sweet couple and wedding. such cute decor!
ReplyDeleteMaria! Thank you so much for showcasing this outrageous and monumental occasion. Your camera work is amazing. You captured my mother beaming and Sarah and I snuggling. I wish I had a minute to talk with you but before my speech I was shaking in my over sized hobo boots and after I was capital D, Drunk. Thanks for telling the whole wold that my family is cute and my toast was sweet. You rock!
ReplyDeleteCindy and Maggie,
ReplyDeleteas i told sarah, it was just such an honor to get to be there and a pleasure to get to capture these moments because there was so much beauty and love everywhere
it was neat to get a glimpse into sarah's family culture. it's obvious she came from a unique and creatively inspiring home.
much love,
maria

ReplyDeleteI saw this lovely wedding featured on Etsy, and am truly amazed at the authenticity and detail in both decor and dress. My friend is going to be doing the same era for her wedding so I sent her a link for inspiration. Meanwhile... desperately searching for vintage patterns and material for the bridal party!

ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for theme, and it looks beautiful too. Going to use this theme in my pre wedding party. Well I am getting married at famous and outstanding Los Angeles wedding venues that have booked from online. Booked my wedding dress too and now need to book just a photographer for the day.
